HEPdata’s eMatch Portal offers reports on both your matching gift donations as well as the email engagements sent via eMatch Portal. The reports section can be found by navigating to the vertical menu on the left side of your Portal dashboard and is listed directly under ‘Reports.’
The reports from this section of eMatch Portal show visualizations of the following items:
Total Donors – the number of unique donors that have given one or more donations
Total Donations – the total value of donations (stand alone, i.e., no match amount added)
Average Donation – an average value derived from all gifts given
Average Matching Gift Ratio – an average derived from the matching ratios of all gifts (typically determined by the corporate giving programs)
Potential Matching Gift Amount – total value of the potential match amount (does not include the donation value itself)
Average Matching Gift Amount – an average of the potential additional matching gift value per donation
In addition to each of these data points can be filtered but the following adjusted views:
Date Range – can be adjusted to set ranges or a custom range
Chart Scale – can be set to display monthly or daily data points
Chart Type – options include line or bar graphs
Categories Included - allows views showing the various buckets of eMatch Portal, this can include all the buckets or select from Pending, Completed, Needs Follow Up, and More Info
Shown here is an example of a graph showing all daily new donors over a 90-day period:
The reports from this section of eMatch Portal are tied directly to the email engagements sent via Portal. eMatch Portal is backed by the power of SendGrid’s API, a trusted tool for sending emails. As such, the data associated with these reports are generated from the SendGrid email API logs. Portal captures and displays data on the following engagement metrics:
Sent – refers to the number of requested emails to be sent via eMatch Portal (more info on send statistics)
Opened – refers to the number of opened emails; because of the tracking method used, this number may be higher than displayed (more details on how opened emails are tracked)
Open Rate – the percentage of delivered emails that have been marked as opened (more info on open rate)
Unsubscribed – refers to the number of email recipients who have unsubscribed to email notifications.
Clicked – refers to the number of unique clicks/opens for links in emails (more info on clicks)
Click Rated – refers to the click through rate, this is the rate at which your opened emails have recipients clicking on links. This can be calculated by the total clicks divided by total opens and multiplied by 100 to give a percentage (more info on click rates)
Reports on email engagement can be filtered on the same views as the donation reports with the one exception of the donor categories (as that filter is not applicable). These remaining filters are:
Date Range – can be adjusted to set ranges or a custom range
Chart Scale – can be set to display monthly or daily data points
Chart Type – options include line or bar graphs
Shown here is an example of a 90-day window of opened emails. This graph has been adjusted to show a two-week period over the holidays and display the number of daily opened emails as a bar graph:
