Integrating eMatch Portal with Classy

Available at no additional cost to Canadian and US Artez clients, the HEPData integration allows donors on the Artez platform to easily check if their employer offers matching gifts.


 

Enable HEPData eMatch Portal Integration

Enabling HEPData for your organization is simple, just follow the steps outlined below.

1.      After logging into https://www.classy.org/admin, click on the API + Apps tab.


2.      Check to be sure the Classy API is enabled.  Click on the Classy API, this will prompt you to set up a new App.


3.      There are two required fields, the first is Application Name.  This should be filled in as eMatch Portal.  The second field is Oauth2 Redirect URL. This should be filled in as https://mm.hepdata.com/.

4.      Click create App and gather three pieces of information.  You will need:

    • Client URL ID – 5 digit number found in URL
    • Client ID – Listed on resulting page
    • Client Secret – Listed on resulting page

This information will be saved by Portal in the next step.  The three fields can be found in these locations:


5.      From HEPdata’s eMatch Portal: client on settings > integrations > Classy.  Then input the three corresponding fields from above and check Validate and Enable.


6.      At this point, you with either see a green confirmation or a red incomplete nofication.  If the Classy validation is not green, notify HEPdata by emailing support@hepdata.com.  HEPdata will be able to validate the final step.

 

Adjust your campaign

1.      This is the final but most important step.  Returning to Classy, select Campaigns and then create new or select an existing campaign.


2.      Click on details > questions.  From this window, add a custom question that reads “See if your gift is matching gift eligible below by entering your Company Name Here”.


3.      Click Add Question. Click Save Changes.

 

This completes the integration process!
